A/N: To begin with, the concept for this fic began as a fiction prompt meme and took on a life of its own. Instead of writing separate fics, I ended up throwing everyone’s ideas into the giant mixing pot of my magical world and created an epic crossover fic! I hope everyone enjoys it!

It is important to note that I will be referring to wandless magic and the Old Ones/Faerie. I will be incorporating my views on such matters in the very same way I did in the Death Eater Trilogy. I will have footnotes to expand further on these things for those of you who are not familiar with it or who need a refresher.

Additionally, I am following the timeline and subsequent ages from the Chronicles of Narnia book series, not the movies, so I’m terribly sorry if this disappoints any readers. This means that anything that happened in the movies that was not in the books will not be acknowledged here.

So today we got our results and I'm officially a Mistress of English Literature! (bit tipsy, just got back from the England/Trinidad game.) We've decided the women receiving MA degrees ought to be called Mistress instead of Master! hahaha

I just saw The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe!! Now, this is my least favourite of the Narnia books, but I have to say, the film ROCKED. (I took a poll last year to see which book was your favourite. Mine is A Horse and His Boy, ) Without spoiling anything, I just have to say the acting was good, the scenery and costumes were perfect, Aslan was magnificient, the battles were wonderful, ughhh so good. I was bawling through most of it. At least I wasn't the only one ;) (Anja was and I think Sara was too hehe)

Also, JAMES MCAVOY (aka Leto II from Children of Dune) makes Tumnus look good ;) Actually, during my last Shakespeare and Rome seminar today, I kept thinking about the iconography of the (Muad'Dib) Atreides family in Dune Messiah/Children of Dune--how it's similiar to the later part of Elizabeth I's reign in her setting herself as an almost Goddess figure...

You know you've been studying too much medieval and Arthurian text when... XD Oh man, I kept making so many connections. I swear, I should just write my dissertation on C. S. Lewis' interpretation of Arthurian legend instead of T. H. White. Stupid old geezers with two initials for first names! hehe

I'm going to miss everyone going home over Christmas!!! I hope we can all get together every week as we did before for lunch {{hugs everyone}} Well to bed for me and much to do this weekend and next week! Must startfinish essays. Must finish essays...

I would like to take a moment to mourn the loss of my hairdryer.

You were a good dryer. Your heat successfully made my long locks dry for many years. May you rest in peace with my laptop's dvd player and my charger that shortcircuted not a few months hence.

I’m not a Canon Nazi and I’ve always enjoyed the films. From Ron getting hit in the head with his broom in PS/SS to OhTheAngstyUSTDrama!GoF, watching them enhances the books and visions of the HP universe. People watch them and want to read. They want to know more about this magical world and then perhaps decide to write fanfiction or create their own magical worlds. I can’t wait for the DVD.

I wish Fawkes Day was some other weekend when I didn't have a headache. That'd be nice.

So this evening the flatmates and I went to see Pride and Prejudice which is currently topping the British box office. Now, why is it topping? Because there's not much else out worth seeing. lol I was glad to see Keira in something other than Love Actually, Pirates, or the dreadful King Arthur (why was it even called Arthur to begin with? *gag*)

Though Keira is really too pretty for the part, rather than plain, her costuming more than made up for it. I was glad to see Austin dirtied up a bit--to see sweat, mud, pigs and horses, etc. The scenery and sets were all breathtaking to behold, but I found the camera movements a bit too jarring at some points. As in with every Austin movie, there had to be parties and dancing. Although the dialogue was a bit flat, Judy Dench made the most of it.

Since it was an extremely shortened version of the novel, many key elements were left forgotton on the cutting room floor in favour of the Elizabth/Darcy romance. I could have done without all of the squealing and overemphasizing of the Bennet household and the wedding off of the daughters. Elizabeth's correspondences with her sister, Jane, I felt were lacking and I was disappointed that a few males in the audience were laughing when the two girls were sharing a bed. Yes, often people in a family had to share beds not only for lack of financial stability, but also for warmth since they didn't have heating and cooling machines! Some people have no concept of historical dramas. I digress.

I really missed Colin Firth. The telivision mini really did credit to Austin's work. However, at least in this version, the characters were actually portrayed by people closer to the ages Austin intended. Another thing that bothered me is that they seemed to use the same piece of piano music over and over throughout the entire film (aside from the dances). BUT I was happy to see the muscians actually playing the violin realistically! XD

Pride and Prejudice wasn't ever one of my favourite novels, so I'm not too harsh a critic on it. I prefer Mansfield Park or Sense and Sensibility. I'll never forget Snape, I mean Alan Rickman as Colonel Brandon, saying "The air is full of spice!" Snape. haha
